Market Day Market Day- Today is Market Day! Actually, Market WEEK

Yay! Market Day! Today is the day to get down to the Mulberry Street Market- but if you miss it, and even if you don't- you get a double dose of market days this week cause Saturday is Wesleyan Market day. Personally, I love going to these markets. I have my certain people I love to see at each- at Mulberry Market it's Abby Owens and her bread, at Wesleyan Market it's Jonah's on Johnston for their pizza... and also their bread. ( I can hear my friend Collin screaming "Carb-i-cide" BUT I DON'T CARE- I've been running lately). Last week at Mulberry Market, I learned how to cook kale... but I have to be honest, I didn't have the time. (Surprised? Yeah right.) I'm not sure if they are still good so I think I'll just go ahead and buy some more. Since this is my weekend with my babies I'll be sure to make some for them, luckily my lil ones love some leafy greens.

Now- I do need to do some different self promotion. I need some help! Have you registered for DealChicken? Go here: https://www.facebook.com/DealChickenMacon/app_143103275748075?ref=ts or click on the image to the right. And... aside from winning my undying love you will also be entered to win a Kindle Fire. So why not?

Also coming up, the Mercer University Opera has free performances of "The Toy Shop", see the following below from their press release:

Mercer University Opera presents three free performances of the children’s opera “The Toy Shop,” by Seymour Barab. The performances will take place at Neva Langley Fickling Hall of McCorkle Music Building on Mercer University’s campus on Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 18 – 20, at 6 p.m. The opera tells the story of a Toymaker’s two precious creations, two dolls named Paul and Pauline, and an evil magician who tries to steal them away. Bring your little ones to see this charming one-act tale written just for them – and for the child in all of us. Children ages 5 and older are welcome to attend. Although each concert is free, seating is limited, so audience members are encouraged to arrive early. Formore information call (478) 301-5751 or visit Mercer.edu/Music.

Again- you can't say there's nothing to do in Macon! Be sure to also sign the "i love macon" pledge- we'd love to hear about something new you love about Macon. You can also feel free to email me, makeitworkmolly@gmail.com with what you have going on around town.

Til next time yall...

UPDATE: What I bought at the market today- some kale, green beans, Abby Owens' apple bread (btw- if she hadn't held it for me it would be all gone... as of 5:45 pm), and a ridiculous pumpkin/cream cheese concoction
