So, as I stated in a Facebook status- my October is already filling up! I know I have something that first weekend (a Historic Macon event? Maybe?) but the last weekend I am already double booked. You see, I am on the Taste of the Arts committee for Macon Arts Alliance and that Friday is Taste of the Arts. AND I am playing the role of Mary Evans Glass, one of the founders of Alpha Delta Pi, in Spirits in October for Historic Riverside Cemetary. Wheeeeeew!
Yesterday, I went to Theatre Macon for my fitting to play Mary Evans Glass. Now I should note, I am not the only young lady playing her, also filling this role are Weldon Ledbetter and Nadia Osman. I am SUPER excited to play this part in such good company! This is also special to me because I am a member of Alpha Delta Pi and I recently found out that my grandmother's grandmother (easiest way to say it), Belle Peterson Inge, was an Adelphean at Wesleyan. *Note: Adelphean is the original name of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
!So I know it's a little early to start promoting these two events, and I will have more info on Taste of the Arts later, but keep an eye out for October! It's going to be a big, busy month. And from what I hear November is filling up as well with Festival of Trees being on November 15th and So go ahead and start marking your calendars for this fall- we've got the fall football schedule- Mercer's Homecoming is November 10th- which is also my 30th birthday (scary!)- and the social calendar is filling up too! You don't want to miss any of the fun so go ahead and pull out that Outlook calendar or datebook now. :)
